Insurance for Registered Reflexologists



	Professional and General Liability Insurance Policy and Procedure The RRCO offers a non-mandatory professional and general liability insurance policy through: Impact Insurance Brokers Inc. 1600 Steeles Ave, W. Suite 214, Concord, ON L4K 4M2 (905)-660-6170 TOLL FREE: 1-877-238-7054 The policy offers $2 million general liability and $2 million professional liability for a cost of $238.56 including taxes. This policy covers RRCO Registered Reflexology Practitioners, practicing the following modalities: Acupressure, Aromatherapy, Bowen Technique, Craniosacral, Hot Stone Massage, Iridology, Polarity Therapy, Reiki, Reflexology, Shiatsu Thai Massage, Therapeutic Touch, Reflexology, Qi Gong, Swedish Massage, Relaxation/Chair Massage and Touch for Health. Any RRCO registrant in good standing may apply for this insurance coverage. Current membership in the RRCO is the only requirement to apply for this coverage. Membership in other organizations is not a requirement of this RRCO insurance policy. The RRCO recommends that a practicing Reflexologist, whether registered or not, should carry Professional AND General liability insurance. EXAMPLE: If you injure a client during a treatment, this is a professional liability. If your client is injured from a collapsing treatment table, this is a general liability. Please note, the RRCO recommends that you carry both, professional and general liability together in order to protect yourself as a professional. An unregistered, certified Reflexologist may apply for membership to the RRCO by sending a cheque for $100.00 (renewals are $75) and a copy of their Reflexology certification from any of the following RRCO registered schools. Current membership in these schools is not a requirement; proof of certification is. Insured with: ENCON Group Inc. Our insurance program is designed for the individual Reflexologist operating out of their own home, visiting others in their home or at their place of work or renting a small space. The program only offers coverage for the modalities listed on your certificate. Any other modalities practiced by you are outside of our program. We have therefore, designed our insurance program to include both Commercial General Liability and Medical Malpractice all in one package. Commercial General Liability ENCON Policy SGL102765 Coverages are offered for your legal liability for bodily injury or property damage caused to third parties. IE. Your patient falls while leaving your treatment room and alleges you are responsible for their injuries. The limit for this coverage is $2,000,000 for any one claim and $4,000,000 total in one year for all claims for the group. Coverage is also offered for no fault medical payments of $5,000 per person or $25,000 per accident. Also, coverage is included for Tenants Legal Liability which offers coverage for damage to a premises you occupy that is deemed to be your responsibility. Limit for Tenant’s Legal Liability $500,000 any one loss. Errors & Omissions Liability – ENCON Policy SRD102765 Coverages are offered for your legal liability for injury arising out of your Insured Services IE. Your patient alleges that you injured them while offering them a specific treatment. The limit for this coverage is $2,000,000 for any one claim and $4,000,000 total in one year for all claims for the group. Important Coverage, for Errors & Omissions is written on a claims made basis. You have to notify Impact Insurance Brokers immediately if you believe circumstances may lead to a claim. A claim is a “written or oral demand for money”. Both policies carry an Abuse and Molestation Exclusion and an Asbestos Exclusion and both policies carry a deductible of $500 for any one loss.
